Matt Hagan is a New Jersey entrepreneur, having started his own “Maker” company in 2013 which provides fabrication services to companies and individuals throughout the region. Matt began his career with four years in the Air Force and had a high profile responsibility managing the inspection, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic and electrical systems for the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor fighter jets around the world. After the military, he studied Mechanical Engineering at Rutgers University.
Matt then went on to become a Senior 3D Printing Engineer at Shapeways.com, where he developed and implemented processes for producing and tracking high quality 3D printed parts.
He was responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and operation of 10+ industrial printers, earned Certifications on the 3D Systems HD35xx and the EOS P110,P395,P760, and was trained in the use of 3D Systems Full color printers as well as Lean/Six Sigma principles. Matt has expertise in various CAD/CAM systems, and has taught classes at the Rutgers Department of Continuing Studies and Rutgers Association of Makerspaces.
Matt also volunteers his time as a member and instructor at FUBAR Labs and as a mentor to the Robotics team at the Union County Magnet High School.
